Guilfest 2011 Draven set fire to the rain as you lot partied hard through the down pour and rocked out big time with Roger Daltry - The Who, Razorlight and Skindred! (Razorlight stole the ketchup at the backstage BBQ. Now you know aswell as us that a burger with no ketchup just aint a burger. They soon gave it back!) The rockumentary about Draven and EDEN by award winning De Rienzo Films got off to an emotionally charged production last week as band members and film makers ended up in tears during recounts of the Draven story so far! It promises to be an eye opener!

The brand new official video for "Blitz" is now available through Draven TV.

Directed by multi award winning John De Rienzo of De Rienzo Films and featuring the Rock Radio award winning Future Classic Track "Blitz" taken from the critically acclaimed album EDEN (produced by Kevin Shirley - Iron Maiden, Led Zepp, Metallica etc).

Draven are sheduled to begin shooting their next official video this coming weekend with award winners De Rienzo Films. The video will feature the rock radio award winning "Blitz!"

Draven have been very busy in the film editing suit getting ready to bring you their brand new official rock video. It will be available from all outlets including D-TV very soon. Production on "Welcome to the blitz!" is already in production and several pre production meetings have gotten the ball rolling. The rockumentary will feature an indepth look into the making of Dravens EDEN.

The boys have already booked more time in the D-TV studios so it looks like there will be much more film/video product on its way aswell. Any time for the new material we heard about? Oh yes! the recording and rehearsal studios have been just as busy...

Guitar hero Gary Moore has passed on into the next rocking world.

"Body Blitz" the documentary film about extreme fitness myths has finally reached the post production stage! The film will heavily feature a DRAVEN soundtrack and should be making its way to a film festival and tv network near you soon. Rumour has it that you may even catch a glimpse of some of the band members as test subjects in the film!

Guitar hero Gary Moore has passed on into the next rocking world.

Well january came and went pretty quick here at dravensville! But time does indeed fly when you are having fun or extremely busy. So here is a round up of what's been happening so far in the new year.

Draven at The Movies!

Welcome to the blitz...The documentary behind the band's journey so far and the making of critically acclaimed debut EDEN is currently in production. It will be a fly on the wall look inside the band and will feature interviews from all the behind the scenes team including major players in radio, press and the industry and Draven working with mega producer Kevin Shirley. You will learn stuff you didnt know and it promises to be an epic story.

Body Blitz...This documentary film is an experiment in extreme fitness myths and will heavily feature a Draven soundtrack.

All new rock videos are heading our way for some herculean Draven tracks so get your rockcorn ready!

Festivals...That's right it is time to start getting ready for those summer festivals in JAN/FEB? So it is early days but Draven have already been confirmed for some summer festival appearances and have also been invited back to Ripley Rocks - the charity festival that the boys headlined last year! More dates to be confirmed soon...

The boys are in the flow of the creative process and are working on new material. The demo/recording process will start some time mid february.

In the meantime hit the guys up on the Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Youtube links for frequent and up to the minute sneaky peaks!

The boys have been busy jamming some face melting new riffage in the studio and cant wait to continue the process in the new year with more official writing/recording sessions. The TV documentary "Body Blitz" which will feature a Draven sound track is currently in production. The boys are already planning festival apparances for next summer and some brand new official video shoots are heading your way - face first!

The boys announced earlier this week that they are currently at work on the soundtrack of an experimental documentary film. The working title is "Body Blitz" and it is aimed at TV networks and other distribution outlets. The subject matter features people who are prepared to push themselves and their bodies to the extreme!

No word yet as to whether the soundtrack will feature some of the new material for their follow up to EDEN!

Unfortunately, due to problems obtaining a suitable venue, FREAKFEST will NOT go ahead this year. However, the GOOD news is that the band have chosen to take advantage of the free schedule by officially starting work on the follow up to 2009's critically acclaimed debut album EDEN. Work begins with writing sessions next week. Word from the boys suggests a leaner and more "muscular" direction! More to follow...

The band will feature in a series of video diaries to be aired exclusively on D-TV. The episodes will be a fly on the wall view into the day in a life of the rock band. Up until know, the group have always maintained a very private studio surrounding so the series promises to be an eye opener! Coming Soon...

Guilfest closed on sunday with an awesome and rocking performance from one of Britains biggest selling and longest running rock giants - Status Quo! The Highlight of the Friday was indeed our DRAVEN boys and they did what they always do... rock the house! Videos coming soon to D-TV! The band and their management have already been inundated with requests concerning Freakfest. No word on this yet although the boys will be meeting to discuss these and other issues in the next few days. Its all go...

Rumours have been bouncing around that Draven are supporting REEF on their comeback tour. Well, here is the truth behind the rumour! It is kind of true... you see, REEF have a side project called THEM IS ME (they rock proper job!) and DRAVEN WILL BE supporting THEM IS ME at the Monto Water Rats in London on May 21st! It may be a little bit less placing of your hands and a bit more melting of the faces!

Draven will also be adding more festival dates so keep checking.

They did a short set including the Foo Fighters sounding 'Fight', 'Stranger' and the title track of their debut album, 'Eden'. GIG GUIDE UPDATE

Draven's famous annual Halloween open air concert is back this year after a bit of a rest. Finer details are still to be confirmed concerning line up and times but the date is set. This year it is NOT ON HALLOWEEN night but the evening before. That's right, FRIDAY 30th OCTOBER in Woking town square, Draven will kick start your Halloween weekend with some high voltage rockin! Put it in the diary people.

Other news... The tribe prize draw, which has been delayed recently due to technical issues will be resolved this weekend. ".....listen to the sounds of mankind....". Well, thankfully Draven are a helluva lot more pleasant than the destructive intro and samples to opener 'Blitz' with it's poignant lyrics like "....the devil's shoes are at No 10...".

Although based in the UK, Draven have a more international sound thanks to the Latin background of the most of the members and what they have sure rocks - big time!

From the Robert Plantesque vocals to the deep throbbing bass to the fret burning guitar this band have taken the defining hard rock sounds of Zepp, Aerosmith and Nirvana to fashion their own appealing formula 1 sound thanks to their confident musicianship and the quality production of 'Caveman' Shirley (!) on this debut.

Elsewhere on "Eden" I'm hearing The Black Crowes on 'I Don’t Care' or even Cream on the title track so there's plenty of lateral movement in the band that should see them blasting well on their way to the rock stratosphere!
